Greetings! Had our youngest daughter and two of her children with us all day yesterday and this morning before they head off to former in-laws for a family gathering for Thanksgiving. In an hour our so my son's family, less his sons (with their mother) will join my other two daughters and two grandchildren here for our own Thanksgiving dinner. Eileen and I drove to Good Will's Medical Warehouse a few weeks ago and got a narrower wheelchair, so I can now get into the rest of the house. It's a bit tight, but I get around. Also use it to get to our car when we head to church or whatever, leaving chair in parking lot (wider chair in back of our van), so two less opening of the van's back door each trip.
I can't use the prosthetic because of the weakness of my left leg (the artificial joint badly bowed). Surgeon recommended against replacing that knee, so I'm wheelchair-bound the rest of my life. Still waiting to hear back from Hoveround after our appeal of Medicare's initial rejection of our application for the mobile chair. Surgeon resubmitted application with further medical restrictions I suffer. Blessings. I'll be getting back here to do the other ones before too long. ······· ·······Slow down; things will go faster!
