Hello!
Well... it's difficult to start. I'm from Russia, and now I'm a teacher of English. First I began translating English poets into Russian, I was 24. I succeeded, but I couldn't be better than our best translator S. Marshak (he was a genius). Then I didn't translate or write anyting for a long time. In 2003 I saw a translation of a good Russian poem into English and didn't like it at all. So I did it myself and wrote some of my own works. But seriously I started writing only last year.
I prefer writing iverhymes, but usually call them 'iverhycks' (this name sounds like 'limericks', at least partly).
Konstantin.
