Once wise men came at Christmas or so it's said.
The wise men came, 'To set us free.'
Or so they said.
They offered their, 'Democracy.'
Or so they said.
Next fell, from heaven, a deathly rain;
their gift of 'Shock and Awe.'
To demonstrate 'Democracy',
and show us what it's for.
Those Wise Men came  all bearing gifts;
or so they said.
'to end the Suni/Shiaite rifts,'
or so they said.
Their leader posed upon the deck
of a mighty aircraft carrier.
Above, to shield his guilty neck -
a giant Jump-Jet Harrier.
The wise men came, 'But not for long';
or so they said.
'Until they'd made our Nation strong.'
or so they said.
And still, this Christmas, standing proud,
on war-torn ravaged soil.
How odd, they never say aloud
That very small word -
'Oil.'
'Once wise men came at Christmas,'
or so it's said.
