Hi everyone,

I was playing with an idea for a humerous halloween poem and Nina suggested that I post a couple of lines and see if others would care to add their own to build a spooky and amusing tale ....   pumpkin.gif  zombie.gif  Wizard.gif  bat.gif  ghostface.gif  alien.gif

So, please copy and paste what exists already and add a rhyming couplet - or several - as your muse prompts (and it's fine to edit for improvement, too)

Broiled eye of newt and wing of bat -
it's no wonder witches don't get fat ...

My friend William wished to join-in, he's not strictly a member of MM but has guested on many occasions. Hope that's ok? The last four lines are his contribution...

Of course Bill's welcome, James. I think we may have started with a variation on one of his recipes. Now we have a double helping of newt's eyes, but I don't think they are all fattening, are they?

Now that Halloween is almost over here,

how about a simple ending:

Tricks or treats, we now can see
from this, our hodge-podge Halloween.

In any event - this is great fun! Thanks Marcia - should our next one be for Thanksgiving?
