A Different View
From o'er the battlefield his voice began with a murmur that arose to a roar and then a million banshee's screaming. With each scream parts of an angel died, with the look of horror on their faces soldiers died. The devil laughed so hard he made the angels cry. Then form out of the air sounded glory and joy, Gabriel's horn suborned the screams and cries. His music brought forth smiles from horror, made enemies friends; it made the fighting stop, and men realize their follies. T'was then a star was seen shining in the east. The people gathered at such awe and beg three wise men go forth and bring back word of what this was. Heavenly angels sang forth and calmed the people for tonight a son of God was born. The devil cursed and withdrew to plan his new attack. Jesus who was born that night said let all sins of man be upon me, and with that the devil was thwarted forever more. Let us all be of the wonder and awe of this birth, and none take up the devils work.
