Under azure skies,
beams of hope arise
as azaleas and rhododendrons
sway vibrant against
the iridescent pathway.
It is here I posses no fear,
feeling the abundance of nature's gift.
I further seek the glint of yellow,
marigolds return memories of my childhood
viewed as nostalgic slide film.
Yet it seems stranger
that the Weeping Willows
brought me to the now,
where resting my head by the bankside
I half imagined hearing the flow of the future.
It is here I realise I am the anchor
of my own fate;
nature the catalyst for these projections

Hi Antony,
It's too late for me to say much now, except to tell you that I'm enjoying your poetry a lot more these days.
They're not as hermetic as they used to be. Good word usage and imagery!
In L2 you don't need the "s" at the end, should be "arise".
I also think it should be Weeping Willow, as that's the full name.

I share your love of marigolds and Weeping Willows, they were also an important part of my childhood.
I'll be back soon,

The Lord replied, my precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

"There is no life higher than the grasstops
Or the hearts of sheep, and the wind
Pours by like destiny, bending
Everything in one direction."

Sylvia Plath, Crossing the Water, Wuthering Heights.
