G'day, Rayn'
Well, I don't no about the rain, you seem to be a ray of sunshine

You have the enthusiasm to become a successful writer.

Poetry can't be taught like music, specialy, the free form stuff. Poets, learn by reading other poets and relating to their style of poetry. I don't think you can go past Shakespeare when writing sonnets; hey, they even gave him enhanced notoriety by naming his sonnet form after him. Free form, ya got Bukowski, Neruda, and many others. The classics, ya got, Ezra Pound, Eliot, Lawrence, Whitman etc. My favourite, exponent is, Carl Sandburg.
The most important feature writing poetry is , finishing your poem, then reading what you've written, n' saying to yourself. Hey, this is pretty good. Later on down the track, you'll say. Hey, this is great! Once you get to the stage, 'Hey, this is great.' Ya, on ya way, Rayn.
So, WELCOME, to the experience of a lifetime.
No, better place to be, than here at MM.

You'l find this out down the track.
