Hi all.

On the Invision Board, I am able to define the storage limits for Personal Messages.

Max. Number of storable messages?

I have set the limits for each group as follows (in respective order);
  • Admin: 500
  • Praetorian: 500
  • Centurion: 400
  • Gold Member: 300
  • Silver Member: 200
  • Bronze Member: 100
Cheers!

This is probably a silly Q, Lori, b u t ... what happens if we excede that? Does it delete old PMs in favour of new ones? or does it sulk and refuse to accept mail? (One would hope the former, but, as I'm married to a programmer I never take common sense for granted, rofl.gif)

Hi Fran.

I'm not certain about deletions, but it definitely won't allow you to accept any new mail.

On the test site, I tried to send you a PM and I couldn't because it told me your storage max has been reached and I had to remove you from the cc list in order to send it the others. So, you won't be able to receive any new PM's once your storage max is reached. I'm not certain if you would be able to send PM's - I would think so.

AS for the purging - I would have to check, but I suspoect it would NOT delete anything unless I have set up a purge in the Admin CP.

I recommend printing or saving PM's offline so as not to bog down the MM servers if possible if you are heading to the 300 PM's mark. upside.gif
