Hi poets and writers at MM!
The challenge is to use the words listed below in the form of a sonnet, villanelle or any other form you wish, as well as FV. You may offer up as many answers as you want, but each one must include at least 10 of the words in the list below, in any order. These words have been taken from Tom Chetwynds' A Dictionary of Symbols. Hi Syl,
Thanks for finding the time to read my little ditty. I'm surprised you don't remember that Sleeping Beauty was poisoned by the Wicked Queen because the queen's magic mirror (which the hermaphrodite made) informed her that she was no longer the most beautiful in the land so the witch poisoned Sleeping Beauty with a doctored apple. The muse hit me when I saw apple, Sleeping Beauty, mirror, etc. Right out of the fairy tale. Glad you liked it. Larry ······· ·······When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the areas of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of his existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
