Hello Critter and WELCOME TO MM! Newbie.gif PartyFavor.gif Balloons.gif

We have a few Canadians here: Merlin (Eric) is the most active presently - he is a fantastic sonnet writer and hangs out in Karnak Crossing - our practice/learning forum. magictongue.png

I like reading all sorts of poetry and I have always enjoyed critiquing others. There was a time when this forum was more active I tried to comment on most of the posts - then it got crazy and I could not keep up. Not a bad goal to have! LOL.gif

We offer honest, yet friendly feedback in our workshopping forums so I do hope you'll find yourself at home here and start interacting (we don't bite). odie.gif There are many members here with different skill levels and technique, which makes MM more comfortable, diverse and challenging if you become so inclined in your poetic journey. sings.gif cheer.gif

Please, wander our halls, take in our colorful 'tiles' and join in the fun. hsdance.gif Idea.gif We used to have a more defined division for level of critique desired (if any), but we've changed that beginning from July, 2013. So now, whne you post a topic for comments, please post a tag line either in the title description (or in the beginning of your thread) stating your desired level of critique. That can be done by simply using a series of stars for light (*), medium (**), or full (***) critique. We also have something called the 1:2:2 rule, which we do not worry about as strictly these days: Each member may post a new work every two days (no more than that, please) providing they then post two critiques of others' works in the same forum. In other words, Post today, not tomorrow (in same forum). You may post one new topic every two days provided you comment on the works of two fellow members (within the same forum).

Each forum has its own 'forum participation rules' posted in a link at the top of the forums, so please have a read of them: http://forums.mosaicmusings.net/index.php?showtopic=8574 .

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me or any of our staff (AMETHYST, Arnfinn, Eisa, JLY, Psyche and Imhotep). rose.gif margarita.gif mm.gif mm.gif

"It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step into the Road, and if you don't keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept off to." ~ J.R.R Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings

Collaboration feeds innovation. In the spirit of workshopping, please revisit those threads you've critiqued to see if the author has incorporated your ideas, or requests further feedback from you. In addition, reciprocate with those who've responded to you in kind.

"I believe it is the act of remembrance, long after our bones have turned to dust, to be the true essence of an afterlife." ~ Lorraine M. Kanter
