AND WHEN I’M GONE
When I’m gone, lying in paradise, found kicking the sky below me, the collector of dying breaths will set my wearied soul free.
And the dark sacred night spurs dreams of gods and monsters, while the cauldron of ghosts, in secrecy, purge the impostors.
My life was full, not half bad; so why have I been fated to be a victim of the winner’s curse? A shroud of death I long to flee.
Sadly, I am forever far from you, the here and now I must endure; please love and treasure our life, journey on, never take a detour.
May my after party be festive and joyous, with no barbed zings, like the mark of the dragonfly who flies about and never stings.
