Windy Bill (metrical revision)

Windy Bill was a cowboy from Butte
who so dearly loved beans and his flute.
After chow he would blow
from his head to his toe.
Such a gassy old flute-tooting coot!

Peggy Carpenter Harwood

HAHAHA....Peggy!!!! Great limerick, this one. Do bring on some more, please.

Hugs, Syl***
PS: BTW, L2 also makes me stumble slightly, tho' it may not be important.

How about: "who loved brown beans and his flute"? TorT...!!!

The Lord replied, my precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

"There is no life higher than the grasstops
Or the hearts of sheep, and the wind
Pours by like destiny, bending
Everything in one direction."

Sylvia Plath, Crossing the Water, Wuthering Heights.
