again the circle's drawing near to full
frail shrunken withered being lying there
within herself first felt the fetal pull
as one we were till birthed in light and air

and now my turn to feed the one who fed
and now my turn to lift who first held me
and now my turn to lead the one's who led
as spiral time and life as needs-must be

Hello Michael in Brooklyn, wave.gif

What a fascinating poem! Read.gif

In yourfirst stanza, I enjoy how you describe life coming full circle. The description of mother feeling that first pull and the unity/bond of mother and infant is spectacular. In S2, I can almost taste the responsibility in your words of now the narrator becoming the 'parent' and the change of hands.

Well done!
Enjoyed the read.
