Hello Pamela and WELCOME TO MM!

If you would be so kind, one of the first things we ask is to share a bit of your goals with us. What type of poetry/prose do you enjoy writing most and are there certain forms you often write in? Shall I assume the level of critique you would like to receive on your topics is 'light' to start?
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me or any of our staff (AMETHYST, Cathy, Eisa, JLY, Arnfinn and Imhotep).

Good Afternoon Lori!
My goals? Do I still have any? Hmmm....
I've been published and am working now on both a book of poetry and thinking of turning my story into a novel....
I suppose my goals are still the same. To learn as much as I can about poetry. Stretching my talents out of my comfort zones and challenge my skill...of late I've begun to feel empty...as if I've written all that was given me to write....I know that can't be true, my muse is just on vacation!
I am not afraid of any level of crit. We need it in order to be able to percieve our own work through other's eyes and to determine through their observations if any changes are merited. I know for a fact I won't have problems finding people better, or more experienced here that will be willing to help. Having had only experience with sites that want flattery and accolades that will be refreshing and I won't have guilt feelings when I naturally try to give some pointers from my own point of view.
I hope I answered this better than the last? I'm a very eclectic and diversified writer and I love words! I've had a lifelong love affair with them and it's amazing to me how many words I come across in higher levels of poetry that still propells me to the dictionary!
I have a definate problem with comprehension in all the metered styles, though I can understand syllable count and can sometimes bluff through...hehehe
Hugs and smiles, Pami
