Well now I have something to actually show you I can spread the word that a new Australian online poetry mag is available and waiting for you to showcase your work in it if you would like to. The Australia Times welcomes submissions from everyone but as it is a family friendly mag no racy stuff or bad language please. Submissions are made on line through this link - http://www.theaustraliatimes.com.au/
How do I know about this magazine? Because the editor is yours truly. I was able to contact at very short notice some of our poets and they were willing to share with me which was beaut - others will appear in future issues which are already in at The Australia Times being formatted or whatever it is they do. I am currently working on the 4th Edition. You will see some of Sylvia's work in the first issue. Here is the link to the Poetry Magazine - there are about 14 mags currently on line with the group including one for short stories that might interest a few of you as well. http://www2.theaustraliatimes.com.au/emaga.../poetry/issue1/ This magazine will be a mix of Australian Bush Poetry, rhyming poetry, Haiku and Free Verse and anything else that I hope might be of interest. It's a great online poetry magazine. I still haven't had time to explore it all. There's so much to read and lots of illustrations to feast one's eyes on.  Thank you, Maureen, for inviting us to submit poems! I really had no idea that it would be so visually satisfying. I look forward to reading other authors' poems when my PC has been cleaned of its glitches. The other mags in The Australian Times host a wide variety of topics. Story-tellers have their own niche to subscribe to as well.  I believe authors will be pleased to include their links to blogs, webs and bookstores. That's an important detail. Congrats, Maureen! Thanks Syl for your high praise and encouragement. It is exciting and I agree with you the standard of all the mags is first class.

Hi Maureen, It sure is a splendid magazine! Thank you for publishing the two other poems I'd sent you as samples...wow...I never expected to have my poetry in an Australian magazine.  For some silly reason, when I used to send out poems to paper mags, a fairly long time ago, I always sent to the N.H. instead of to a wonderful country in the south, Australia! I did get published and keep the mags still...Which makes me wonder, will there be any way in the future for ordering a paper copy or perhaps an e.book type of thing? Kindle? Don't know whether that will ever be done Syl - I have the original copies minus the ads saved in a PDF format if you want them - I suppose anyone with a half decent printer could run them off.
