Hi Lori,

Thanks for the time spent going through this. I am always in much need of help with punctuation. It also brought this up and I noticed I had missed a few posts.

One note of personal opinion: I would not make the word ‘poet’ capitalized unless you also capitalize the colors following ‘Poet’.

This is a wonderful suggestion. I hadn't thought about it that way.

As you see, I haven't been keeping up with making revisions. I need to make time someday soon to sit down and go through all the works I have asked for help on. I've had so many wonderful suggestions from everyone that I need to put them into use before they are accidentally lost.

Thanks for the input. sings.gif

Glad to be of service Jackie. cheer.gif

It's easy to overlook page 2, 3 and 4 and so on but I always do that since there are more frequent posts these days and one might miss one if we don't look back... oops.gif madhatter.gif

I can also help you with the nifty 'search' tool as well if you need to locate your works to keep your files in order...

Cheers!

Thanks Lori,

Sorry I'm slow to reply. My service has been down for a few days. I finally figured out the search a little but any tips you have will be welcomed. fairy.gif

I guess I hadn't figured out the search as well as I thought. I could only find a few. Is there a way to see where all your posts are? Also, is there a way to see all the work of someone else if you wanted become more familiar with their range over time?

Thanks -- Jackie/Rosemerta

Why hello Jackie! wave.gif

No worries. candle.gif Give this method a try: If you click on your 'Rosemerta' hyperlink name (or anyone's for that matter) - it will bring you to your profile page. In the upper right hand corner, you'll see: PROFILE OPTIONS with a pull down arrow. Click on the second choice "FIND MEMBER'S TOPICS". This search tool will display only TOPICS you have posted. Yours is currently 2 pages long, but from there you can click into each topic and then use 'download this topic' from the OPTIONS poull down to the right of each topic (but you'll have to click into each topic one at a time). Then just back arrow to go to the next one in the list and so on...

Good luck!

Dear Jackie,

Can't comment on the whole poem, but I would suggest that you amend your title to

The Poet's Palette

I checked, the spelling you use is fine, but the first thought that comes to my mind with that spelling is a rough wooden base on which industrial goods are carried on trucks, whereas palette is more specifically to do with paints and colours. This might be a USA/UK thing, but palette covers both, while pallett does not.

Love
Alan

Well darn! I just posted to this and when I clicked on 'Add Reply' to post it popped up to say I was responding to one of Lori's poems! No how in the world???? LOL

Oh well... the gist of what I wrote was that I was glad this had been pulled back up. I've always enjoyed it!

I know sometimes punctuation isn't used but it sure makes it easier to know where the pauses are! *smiles* I have a tendency to run things together! Is there a particular reason why you didn't? Just curious is all. It doesn't overly affect the poem in this case, I'm just overly curious! LOL

Lovely piece Jackie~
