and eat insects;
others mar faces
and other surfaces;
still others become part of
opposing government bodies
to work on behalf of their homeland

that’s bored
by machines
for minerals
or petroleum
ceases to produce crops
but if you should strike it rich
you can buy all the food you want
unless you start to drill where it grows

when you save
half your earnings
staying in your home
rather than heading out
to the store to go shopping
for all those things when you're hungry;
you don't need that much food to keep alive

live
as though
tomorrow
is your last day
and you’ll be happy
to find that it was not
and be thankful for the time
God has given you on this earth
so you’ll leave with a smile on your face.

the truth:
we won't die
until we've lived
as long as God wills
and then we face music
that is produced by angels
or whatever creatures are there
where we've gone to spend eternity

laid-off blue collar workers money

and then flee into oblivion?

live creatures
a lot smaller,
and some more tiny
have a nice existence
on those microscopic ones
and we are like a universe
with trillions dependent upon us.

good guys
wear white hats
but they get soiled
from those dirty hands
since we have to do work
to keep ourselves from badness
that's always there trying to trap
people who get tired of doing good

and the knowledge that
a positive outlook
will enhance any outcome
when the endeavor is started
with the assurance of your success

which people try to dodge;
for they can’t afford new shoes
and across the fence, cattle act
like the field’s a john, dear-oh-dear me.

makes the grass greener
once the brown dissipates
and is spread out by the rain
which also waters the new grass
which the cows eventually will chew

for digestion
will start in the mouth
and not in the stomach;
which may reduce the bloating
and cause that over-stuffed feeling
so they won’t say you’re full of hot air

can pump the leaking one back up
so that you can safely drive back home
