To introduce myself... I think a couple of people may have mentioned this to me, a few people here seem familiar. I mostly live on the forums on poemtrain, but when Marcia so nicely told me about over here, I decided to ... check it out. I've spent a while looking around here, it looks fairly nice. I don't know where I could begin starting to post though...

Anyways, for random tidbits of info about me: I'm 16, a junior in high school (some of my writing reflects this, some doesn't.) I'm female, I write bad poetry, and I like writing critiques (sometimes more than writing my own work).

Cheers,

"...We are born into the world like a blank canvas
and every person that crosses our path takes up the brush and makes their mark upon our surface.
So it is that we develop.
But we must realize there comes a day that we must take up the brush and finish the work. For only we can determine if we are to be just another painting or a masterpiece..."

Hi Salem and welcome,

Many of us also write bad poetry - I know I often do. However, as with so many things in life, we learn most from our mistakes. If we write poorly and ask for crit we can improve. If we write badly and do not as for crit we remain bad. Post a few things (ask if you are not sure how) and the comments you receive will help you to write better poetry.

Thanks for the welcomes... now that the dear storm Isabel has gone, and I have caught up in school, I should be having more time to spend around...

`You can draw water out of a water-well,' said the Hatter; `so I should think you could draw treacle out of a treacle-well--eh, stupid?'  Speechless.gif

`But they were in the well,' Alice said to the Dormouse, not choosing to notice this last remark.

`Of course they were', said the Dormouse; `--well in.'

This answer so confused poor Alice, that she let the Dormouse go on for some time without interrupting it.

`They were learning to draw,' the Dormouse went on, yawning and rubbing its eyes, for it was getting very sleepy; `and they drew all manner of things--everything that begins with two M's--'

`Why with two M's?' said Alice.

`Because it stands for Mosaic Musings' said the March Hare.

Alice was silent.   wave.gif
