My right knee has been either replaced or revised 6 times, each time a little more of my tibia removed, so that now there is not enough left for having another knee replacement. The operations (except the first one) were because of staph infection, and at least three of them were because of mistakes (2) that the infectious disease "expert" doctors in our county made. There was no injury, but the original operation was because of the effects of arthritis over the years, so that there was virtually nothing between the bones in my knee. For the past 6-9 months I've had intermittent pain in my shin and above it, then daily, then hourly mostly when I get up to walk, but now also even as I sit in my recliner attempting to find a comfortable position without pain.
My family doctor was not able to arrange for an appointment yesterday with Walter Reed, but they discovered there is no need for a referral because Medicare (my primary insurance) does not require one. So today I will be attempting to get an appointment directly. Again, thank you for your concern, my good friend! REGULAR Regularity evolves generally unusually; laxatives are redundant.
