A barmaid in Munnik called Maud
one October was nicked for beer fraud
she hid twenty kegs
in folds of her legs
but the cops were not least overawed.

(I was thinking of draughts but chickened out) balrog.gif

Were the hops in the ale overawed
by the draughts that the barmaid had drawed?
Well, the barley and yeast
made a pleasant wee feast
so they left out the hops and guffawed!

A patron whose name was Karl Schmitter
came in for a beer and a twitter,
a sight to behold
was the way he controlled
his moustache on the head of his bitter

When Karl curled his mustache and bitter
the bar lass went into a skitter.
She brought a fresh stein –
that sure made Karl whine
when she poured the whole thing down his spitter.

It was all doomed to end in disaster,
young Maud's good Papa was the Pastor
so biting the bar-lass
was dreadfully careless
since Karl was the local head-master!

I loved the voice that he used –
with emotion it practically oozed!
After all when he bitter,
it showed he’s no quitter
altho that advance was refused!

Preventin' romance? What a thought!
A fella who’s gotten real hot
looks out for some peace
as a form of release
so he doesn’t stay bound in a knot.

By a knot we are bound to convention,
don't suffer a misapprehension,
from the crib to grave we are forced to behave -
if you don't, you'll land in detention.

You don't land in detention if you'll
treat a girl like a lesson in school.
Make an "A" in wood shop
she will never say stop
and may even help you clean your tool.

Learning to keep a clean tool
is something they teach you at school
but keeping it keen
needs a nurse with vaccine
to needle the family jewel. ohmy.gif

If you needle the family jewels
you better obey all the rules.
Acupuncture (or prick)
too close to St Nick
will make your face look like a ghoul’s!

If you look like a ghoul in the face
you could throw on a sheet and embrace
your new ghostly role...
and in espanol
you can keep your new neighbors apace.

Can a can of paste keep neighbors new?
It just might if the signs which you glue
and stab into your lawn
say "Stay Out" and "Begone"
in ten languages; even Bantu.

A Bantu I knew spoke Swahili,
an immigrant from Quintero, Chile.
Despite all his labors
he never had neighbors
because he was really too silly!

He was really too silly because
he did not believe in Santa Claus
or the rabbit of Easter
who uses it's keester
to lay chocolate eggs without pause.

Choc'lit eggs? Do they give men a pause
to wrap them in glitter and gauze?
Will their sexual drive
now no longer thrive?
Will their women respond with applause?

It’s plausible women respond,
especially those who are blond.
Some brunettes and true reds
might only shake heads
when they see a young buck and his frond.
