Hi Fran,

Well done for winning, after being multi-nominated, MM's creature, oops, sorry, Critter of the Month. (Confused as you're a biologist somewhere in your past I think).

Seriously, you always offer brill crits and even when I argue and tussle, you return to explain / argue / help. Very much appreciated.

I know you're very busy now but even yesterday (Wed), when you had some time, you were back there critting hard. I think you can easily do less when you're busy and still be an excellent critter. In t'other words, looking at your new plaque, I know you won't rest on your laurels. Besides, they can be prickly.

Well done! Well-deserved.

J.

Thank you, All, very much indeed. I am very touched by the nominations and the kind words.  blush21.gif

I am really aware of trepidation every time I press the 'add reply' button when I crit: did I 'get' the ideas? Have I just suggested something utterly silly? Have I been rude?  Hide.gif

Now I'll be even more nervous - people might assume I know what I'm doing Jester.gif

I also have a confession. I originally only wanted to learn about critting because last autumn our local writers' group ran a young writers' comp and part of the deal for the teens is that every submission is returned with 'comments from the judges.' As organiser, I was petrified that one of our judges would have an accident (it's a rough, tough world, that literary circuit, lol) and be unable to perform ... In the event, they were both fantastic, the comp went smoothly ... and I found myself addicted to MM   :block:

Right, enough of the Gwennie-style gushing - I love the site, love all of yous, love the poetry, the stories, the flashes, the banter ...  lovie.gif  Though in light of James's comment I now see myself more like 'Scrat', the scrappy, boggle-eyed, agitated, manic nut-fetishist squirel from 'Ice Age' - thanks James (erm...)  mouse.gif

Hi Tufty,

I looked-up the film in question and saw the squirrel-still (though no animations worked for me - thank goodness!)

I didn't know you were a nut-fetishist squirel but I have to say, as critters go that's a great one!

Anyway Nutkins, well done and, being a nut-case, you're obviously at home here. :)

Hi Fran, dance.gif

Warmest congratulations on winning Critter of the Month.  hsdance.gif

I am afraid I have been away at critical crit voting times so missed out on making a nomination but yours is richly deserved. claps.gif  claps.gif

Hi,  Grace

It's lovely to see you again after your trip. Is that a nautical avatar pic now? Many thanks for all your warm encouragement.

Hi, Daniel

There are so many interesting corners tucked away on MM. When I need to adventure into Karnak I follow your paths. Thanks for all the crits and help.
