In The Season
Within the golden foil and crimson bows, the silver ribbons and the mistletoe, beneath the Christmas trees with lights aglow, the heirloom balls and wreaths of holly sprays,
a feeling floods the air, of bygone days, of season’s joy and hopes in hearts ablaze; a loving whisper in a voice divine. Beyond the song and charm of children’s plays,
the relish trays and cheerful toasts with wine, a spirit, better than the best in man, imbues this vagrant world with saintly signs of selfless acts, past ornamental shine.
It’s not the special dates or festive clothes, it’s not the gifts we share with friends or clan, it’s not the food or well intended plan, it’s merely God explaining that we can.
My sentiments exactly. This is a lovely poem Michelle, and faultless in presentation. The rhyme and meter compliment, nay lass, supplement the glorious message.

Michelle!
What a beautiful piece! :sings:
I love every line and their meanings! Brings me back to my childhood (and I was as spoiled rotten kid)!
Your last line is most touching. :pharoah2
If I may, what style is this piece? I love the flow and rhyme scheme! :operagal:
