This poem is uplifting if I have managed to get its truly sincere message across adequately. Happy Christmas to all ! Psyche
    JESUS'S BIRTHDAY Here ! Take this gift upon your lap and, before its trimmings you unwrap, this scene you may enact: they are right, to whom it seems, that your Christmas is a dream, for so much hope has flown away in a century, or just one day, from people who are homeless and yearn for warm embrace. Is your feast therefore less real? No ! All the joys that you may feel are great blessings from above, bestowed on us with gracious Love on our dear Saviour's natal date He loves to watch us celebrate. Yet others cower amidst the roar and scourge of far-off wars, so pray ! remember that this day is our blessèd Lord's Birthday, and gifts you hold within your hand are like golden grains of sand, since all things we grasp or save are washed away by sifting waves. Treasure up within your heart kind thoughts that will not part from your dear soul, upon its road, so rough yet rich with charms, to realms beyond the threshold illumined by our Saviour's arms. Oh ! For you He keeps eternal wait at Heaven's shining, golden Gate ! By Psyche
