There is a box on the registration form that says "Type Poetry Here".
I don't know what that means!!! So I wrote a poem.. just in case it is a command or request. Here is my poem:
"Type Poetry Here" the box invites (a puzzlement to us who writes) A question posed, or just a task? Proves "willingness to do as asked"? or does it for a genre call? Just fill with a poem? (Hm. It's mighty small!)
Needless to say, the 'box' said my poem was too long. (anyone who reads all the drivel I tend to write is nodding and smiling saying "If that box only knew... THAT is short coming from the Vicaress of Verbosity!)
So, thinking like a middle school kid, I just did the very literal thing and typed POETRY
and here I am!
Years have passed since I participated in a group devoted to writing. Much has happened during those years. My hair went from "deep auburn - with 'help'" to a rather tweed color.
As much affinity as I had for my alter-ID of Artemis... and since there hasn't been much Splashdancing going on, in recent history
I'll wear the name "WalkOnAire" here.. for my Tennessee Walking Horses (I have 1.75 of them. The other .25 is a Saddlebred) and my beloved incorrigible Airedales...
It will take me awhile to sort out who is who and what is what.. and learn to navigate both the culture and the rules again.
I'm glad 'this place' is still here... and I am looking forward to reading and sharing...
and maybe even doing a little writing!

Why hello Gena and WELCOME BACK TO MM!
Yes, you were here years ago when we first opened as Artemis and I do recall you having thoroughbreds and even enjoyed seeing some photos. I'm sure we also interacted before a LONG time ago at the old PK. I am sure your posts will be much welcomed and I am looking forward to reading your aMUSing comments too.
Sorry about the confusion on ''type poetry here". Yes, it is literal and Peter added that recently to the registration process as one additional security measure. I'm astounded you were able to whip off a poem so quickly! I have been poetically muse-absent for a few years now myself but am always checking in and enjoy reading the topics. Perhaps even my own muse will return? I do hope MM finds this change well received. We just need to get the word out there and continue to provide feedback.
We have always offered honest, yet friendly feedback in our forums so I hope you'll find yourself at home here. There are many members here with different skill levels and technique, which makes MM more comfortable and diverse.
Please, wander our halls, take in our colorful 'tiles' and join in the fun. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Good to see you back again Gena! ~Cleo (aka Lori)

Hi Gena,
I was highly amused by your "introduction"...LOL...I don't think we've met before, tho' Artemis rings a bell, so don't take my word for it!! I honestly don't remember how long I've been a member of MM, must check that out
I look forward to seeing you in the forums. Been a bit absent due to personal problems, same as many people.

Dear lady I was fortified to see "Write Poetry" did not fool only me, I failed the test. Oh that I may be sensible one day; is far too great a thing for which to pray. I try my best.
