Greetings,
It's hard to believe that our Tenth annual holiday classic has reached the final three days to accept submissions! The owners and forum staff of the Mosaic Musings (MM) web site are extending an offer to its members to compete in a holiday contest. The holiday season has always been a special time for us and we wish to share with others, while providing opportunities for writers and artists to have some fun. Only the first FIFTY submissions will be accepted for this contest. As we have not reached our target of FIFTY posts two weeks prior to the end date of December 20th by 5PM, for those who have already submitted 2 entries, you may submit more now as you wish, until we reach our target of 50, or the end date (whichever comes first). We'd all love to see the MMHC forum filled with the maximum number of 50 entries (images are also allowed for this contest this year)! If you've written any holiday-themed work (poetry or prose), please consider posting it for this contest. *Previously published works ARE allowed as submissions since this is just an internal holiday competition to attain bragging rights.
For more information, please visit the MMHC (Mosaic Musings Holiday Classic forum at http://forums.mosaicmusings.net/index.php?showforum=47.
Voting for the winning submission will be conducted by (5) non-participating judges (either from MM or external or both) who will use a points scoring method to determine the winning submission. Each of the five will select their top three nods and assign a point score to them: 3 points for their first choice, 2 for their second choice and 1 for their third choice. This equates to a total score of 30. Whichever submission receives the highest point score in that process would be deemed the winner. In the event of a tie, a staff poll will be conducted for those submissions to determine the winner. If you are interested in being a judge, please let me know via PM or email.
Here's wishing all a wonderful, peaceful and joyous holiday season! May all your dreams come true in 2016.
Warm wishes, Lori aka Cleo_Serapis
