Wow! Thanks P!
We lost power in Auburn around 8:20pm Saturday and it just came back about an hour ago. YES, we toughed it out even when it was 20 degrees the past few nights! Snow-blowed the 12 inches we got here and re-injured my damned trapezious muscle yet again (after just healing from July's car accident) shoveling the steps with that heavy watery shit they called 'snow'.
Had to blow off work yesterday and ended up going to Milton (across the state it seemed, lol) to shower at Barry's folks. We had planned to pack it up tonight to shower at work tomorrow as there are locker rooms there but while I was packing, the power came back! YAY!!! Near to 4 full days - that SUCKED!!!!!! No power, no heat - luckily could use stove to heat water and soup and such and the toilets and faucets. Nothing like staring at a pellet stove and knowing it won't work without electricity.
Well, I just hope now we don't catch cold!! We lost a few trees outside but was able to salvage the lilac trees and the cherry and crab apple trees - they were hanging completely to the ground Sunday morning but they've bounced back.
The cats are becoming more lively now that I have the pellet stove and the regular heat cranking here - even they were freezing!
Imagine that - what a trick for Halloween!
Hope all are well and thanks again!
