Hi everyone
Mum has been taken to hospital this evening. They thought she might have had a stroke. The hospital say she has a chest infection, possibly pneumonia. She is very ill though stable at the moment, but could go one way or the other. Please keep her in your prayers.

Hi Eisa,
I am very sorry to hear about your Mother. I've been through that myself with my parents and so have empathy, as well as sympathy.
I hope that all turns out well and that both you and your Mother are ok.
Will be thinking of you, Eisa. Take care of yourself, also.
James.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers. Although Mum is still very poorly, she has shown some improvement. Her body temperature and heart rate have gone up to almost normal. She hasn't been able to talk, but has murmured a few things -- said my name, asked 'where am I?', said 'hold my hand' when I let it go, and said 'Lil' who is her cousin. She was fed some ice-cream this afternoon and it was obvious she was enjoying it.
Her heart, lungs etc are being monitored, but she keeps pulling the attatchments off her body.(due to her Alzheimer's) She is a strong person -- a real fighter, which will be a help towards recovery. They don't think she's had a stroke, as she can move her legs easily. She has a chest infection, possibly pneumonia, but also some distention in the abdomen which needs to be Xrayed to see what the problem is there. Provided her heart rate keeps up, I feel she has a good chance.
Thank you all so much for your support. Snow

Hey Snow,
I've been praying for Mom and yourself. I am glad to read that there isn't any indication at this time of a stroke. Perhaps she will show full recovery after the respiratory infection clears up.
If you need anything that is within my means, even to talk or anything at all... I am available to you... I will be thinking of you and keeping you and mom in my prayers...
Hugs, Liz

My dear Eisa,
I arrived here late again to read about your Mum. I am pleased to note that there has been some improvement in her condidtion, and the fact that she recognises you if wonderful.
I will keep her (and you) in my prayers.
She is in the best place and being looked after.
I send you a big hug and don't forget to take good care of yourself. I will keep an eye open for any bulletins on her steady improvement.
God Bless.

Hugs, Liz Hi Liz
Mum has got pneumonia and is stable at the moment. The bigggest problem is that her Alzheimer's makes her unco-operative with treatment. Recovery is going to take quite a while, I think, but I feel much more hopeful now. This is the first night I've posted for a while and it is good to do something normal
Thanks for your prayers and positive vibes
Hugs Snow

God Bless. Hello Grace
Mum does have pneumonia and her Alzheimer's makes her unco-operative of treatment, so it will be a long job. Her heart and oxygen levels are more stable now and she is coughing by herself which will help clear the rattle on her chest. She still can't talk well, which was a worry, but they feel sure this is only temporary. It will be a strange Xmas this year, visiting her in hospital.
Thanks for your prayers Grace. I'll let you know how she is doing.
Love Snow :snowflake:
