I carved that old witch in a frieze

It appears I've preceded a curse
that has followed me here... perhaps worse than at first I had feared, so must I now be geared to silence my Light-hearted verse? Sometimes when we've taken ourselves un-seriously, there's someone who delves to find how we tick while seeming to flick frivolity right off our shelves.
