LIFE FORCE

To animate that comely carcass
don’t head south into the warmth;
rather, apply the antifreeze of soul
into the meat, orient your good self
which way is forward, and - quick march.

Don’t count the clocks or balconies you pass,
the flow is all, so beaver not on dams;
there is no math to life, only to mass.
Since you are free, adopt, adapt, and leave,
start, change and stop at will, and then, keep on.

Alan McAlpine Douglas

Challenge words : comely carcass head south
antifreeze orient clock balcony math beaver

Dear Steve,

Thank you. I love doing 10 word challenges, I've often been amazed at the byeways they can take me down, and what I find in myself when I get there.

Love
Alan

A very intellectual and interesting response Alan. At first glance, I don;t see anything to nit.OK, maybe add the word 'to' before "which way is forward".

Love this - the flow is all, so beaver not on dams;
and of course your ending:

Keep on!

Enjoyed the read,

Dear Lori,

Thank you. Intellectual, huh ! My Dad would be proud, he was that, and probably very little else.

I can see why for language one could add that "to", but I think it manages without, and the addition would spoil the rhythm, no ?

Love
Alan

Hi Alan - i don;t think it would but another option are these two:

to which way is forward, and - quick march

OR

to which way is forward; quick march

All in all - a good, deep read!
