Hi all. wave.gif

I am going to list 10 movie quotes below.  Juggle.gif

PICK ONE.  :piggy:

What I would like to see, is for you to write a tile (poem, prose or story) based on your VERY FIRST IMPRESSION upon reading the quote. You can use any style of writing and there are no restrictions as to length or meter. You do NOT have to write about the movie itself, just your 'muses' impression of the quote.

HAVE FUN!!!  dance.gif

Let's see what you come up with! sun.gif
Good luck!

The quotes are:

“If I could ask God one thing, it would be to stop the moon. Stop the moon and make this night and your beauty last forever.” – A Knight’s Tale

“Cold be heart and hand and bones, cold be travelers far from home... they do not see what lies ahead when sun has failed and moon is dead!” – The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

“The strangeness of this life cannot be measured: in trying to produce my own death, I was elevated to the status of a living hero.” - Dances with Wolves

“Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force.” – Star Wars

“I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya punk?” – Dirty Harry

“No? A lot of people hate this hat. It angers a lot of people, just the sight of it. Ah, I'll tell you a story about that on the way to school.” – Uncle Buck

“Death cannot stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a while.”
“You mock my pain!”
”Life is pain, Highness! Anyone who says differently is selling something.” – The Princess Bride

“Some people believe that when you die there is a wonderful light. As bright as the sun but it doesn't hurt to look into it. All the answers to all the questions you want to know are inside that light. And when you walk to it...you become a part of it forever. Now, some people die, but they don't know they're gone.” – Poltergeist

“The city that he builds shall bear my name, the woman that he loves shall bear my child. So let it be written, so let it be done.” – The Ten Commandments

“I think this is what happened: the old man had heard the fight between the boy and his father a few hours earlier. Then, while lying in bed, he heard a body hit the floor in the boy's apartment, and he heard the woman scream from across the street. He got up, he tried to get to the door, heard someone racing down the stairs and *assumed* it was the boy.” - 12 Angry Men

Ok - I chose the quote from Dances with Wolves..

"The strangeness of this life cannot be measured: in trying to produce my own death, I was elevated to the status of a living hero."

Needs some work, I admit!

Mortal Ways

I called to the Gods, "Hear my plea!"
to vindicate my mortal ways.
In their response, I did not see
the darkness of light nor its blaze.

I charged my steed though blackened haze,
white eyed, encroaching the conflict.
Bloodied bodies, and charred remains
meant nothing in Mayhem's addict.

Visions of malice, did predict
this massacre here before me.
I killed the leader his men picked,
to lead them to swift victory.

My life I wished to end, my plea;
lifted to War's greatest hero.
My guilt remains, ne'er set free,
mocking my life as a zero.
