Leaves, like fans in a stadium, rise and fall, clapping wildly, moving as a wave within the crowd.
Sporting orange and yellow jackets, these tree dressers flippantly flap, raising their banners skyward.
High winds declare victory, winning weather for a brand new day.

Orien, good writing easy to ride with, as mentioned I also appreciate the multi-colored leaves like people, and your autumn effect with action.

QUOTE(Zeus˛ @ Nov. 17 2003, 17:17) Jan, after that tremendous wind storm we had on the east coast last week, this poem just fits the bill. A wind blown mosaic blizzard was happening. Love the use of the stadium multi-colored fans. The leaves are all down and gone now. Wait til next year. Larry Dear Larry,
Thanks for your response here. We've had our share of temper-tantrum wind gusts showing off as transitional weather patterns have settled. I love it!
Cheers to the wind! Jan

Dear Grace,
Your kind comments are greatly appreciated. Yes, the winds have displayed wonderful dances around here the last couple of days. I'm glad the images pulled through in describing fast action of one of those wild-gusting times when the winds demand full attention!
Best regards, Jan
