Hi All and Happy Thanksgiving to those of us here in the US!
I've fixed the issues with restoring from backups in the event of catastrophic issues (I've been able to restore individual files, like the database, if I had to but if the entire system fell apart it was going to be.. challenging? to get everything back online from the backups). So, I'm going to do the major patch/upgrade install that was originally set for August on Saturday, 30th Nov. I'll be starting the behind-the-scenes downloads and updates around 07:00 Eastern (12:00 GMT). Once that's done (maybe 07:45 to 08:00 depending on how much it needs to download/how long that takes) there will be about an hour of time where the forum and the website will be down ("page cannot be displayed") while the system installs all the patches and reboots. All goes well I hope that everything should be back online before 10:00 Eastern. Hi All!
OK, the visible stuff should be all done now. Only 12 minutes longer than I thought... course if they had mentioned in the release notes that I had to do something I ended up having to do it would have been oh about an hour ago ;0 Anyway, I'll be poking around tweaking things for a while. If anything comes up, gives you errors, looks weird, whatever drop me a PM and I'll take a look right away. Round 2 of updates will happen right around Christmas.
