Very nicely said Brahms!  :pharoah2

I've made the changes you requested, so please let me know if there's anything I missed, ok?

What a nice prayer piece this is!

BIG HUGAROOOOOOS!

Give me the strength
to rise above my bed
where I've chosen to sleep.

Give me the will
to go on when I can't find
a path to go back.

Give me the wisdom
that I may recall what I have been
and understand that which I do not know.

Give me the guidance
to love and care for
those in my classes
when I've chosen to be quiet.

Give me the endurance
to unlock, let go of
all my frustrated moments;
to stand as a small tree
ready to accept your rain, cool but soothing
and your sun, light and showing
expecting to grow.

Give me the courage
for those I can meet and touch
to say what my heart truly longs
as Lord Bukley did say;
    "Gentlemen, M'Ladies,
     Would it bother you much
If I told you I love you?"

Ahh, Cleo, you are like one of the surgeons who wove me back to life!
The only change, which in attempting may have allowed the bugaro
-I wish the last three lines indented 3 spaces right from the edge.

A better title that makes more sense to me is
you are like the fellow crew who pulls lines
truly and so the sailboat I travel runs true.

Ahoy C'aptn,
Brahms

Live one day at a time -it's simpler that way.
Laugh loud & often - it's medicinal.
Write from the heart - it's therapeutic.
Beauty comes from within - the outer is just skin!

Thanks, Eisa.  This poem was written a couple years
after I woke from the coma, and I began life again
like a simplistic child during my late 20's.  Specific
to these days was simple joy and simple tiring
moments when I could not operate with complexity
So I did not feel legitimate enough using capitals
and despite all that, there was plain essence, eh?

Wishing the ease of silence,
Brahms

Hello Stephen~

This is such an inspirational and touching poem about introspection and hope.

Wonderfully written, I love the message within.

Great job! sun.gif  sun.gif  sun.gif  sun.gif  sun.gif  sun.gif  sun.gif  sun.gif
