Hi Lori,
I would like to nominate Steve's poem "Laughter" for IBPC. I'm not sure whether this is in time for February, so I haven't specified the month. I find it a highly striking piece, with movement to & thro' in time, plus vocabulary that invokes images in one's mind, and profound thoughts. It has very good opening lines and a really brilliant finale. Hugs, Syl*** Laughter by Stephen Pray My laughter sings on strings, I will not fret. Sweat slides down my neck. I empathize but can't amplify without sounding bored. Tensions strung too tight, I hum, reverberate. I am leading this duet meters and rhyme, words carried by my mumbles such are promises. Will you listen, will you hear? All I fear are my tomorrows, worries left behind as I unlimber. An instrument of my description, one that plays me, it betrays me.
