Darkest shadows over me, light seems to fall, dimness in my eyes of green, sadness intakes it all.
Loss of action, loss of thought, enrages me to sleep, impasse with a harshly sigh, ends in despair.
Lonely days without you, my nights are long and numb, for my Dad, my hero, my role model has gone to Heaven and I am left to fall.
Lonely is life without you, it just isn't the same, if I could have only one wish, it would be to have you back again.
The voice of reassurance and wisdom, is now still, the heart wrenching hole in my heart, just cannot be filled.
Darkest shadows over me, light seems to fall, my life has been turned upside down with pain, so severe I ache, for the smile, that gave me hope and encouragement, is now in a memory hard to find.
I love you Dad and can't bear the loss, of you here on Earth. My light is now a dark shadow, my heart is filled with pain, I miss you more than words can say, I pray you are doing well.
I am sure you can see how Timari has grown, you definitely must be proud. she is only two and remembers so clear, her limited time with you.
Darkest shadows over me, light seems to fall, I love you Daddy and I hope and pray that someday, the shadows will turn into rainbows which will be your radiant smile, the words of wisdom, the comforting touch, the endless encouragement and the immense love that I miss so dearly.

This is genuinely tender and full of love and loss, as your words gently express heartfelt love and heartbreak.
You have captured the "essence" of the absolute love and adoration you have for a very special, one-of-a-kind father.
Your poem rings with such a loving tone, I cry when I read it.
Thanks, for sharing your talent and I look forward to reading more of your work.
In love~ Aphrodite

Hello Snow:
Thank you for your kind words and thoughts. It is an ongoing battle of sadness and it doesn't seem to let up. However, expressing the pain does help with my feelings.
Thanks again, Shava

This is so beautifully heart rendering. There is so much emotion and pure love within the expression of your deepest thoughts.
Lovely and special, I needed to read this again on Valentine's Day.
Gosh, do I miss those little hearts Dad used to give us, but more, his reassuring smile.
Love ya, Lindi

A very loving tribute! I lost my dad over 10 years ago and sometimes I still feel the pain of his loss. You have expressed so many of my own emotions in the desire to express your own, it's uncanny.
