AUTUMN TWILIGHT
Wind sculptured the escarpments, painted them russet over yawning villages. Undulating willow-branches brushed borders of rivers flowing into austral sunsets. Everything prepared for sleep except the ruthless wind. Silhouettes of whistling poplars marked the divide between day and spectral night. Wind governed all of life. Autumn shed a myriad leaves from half-naked branches outlined against sprinting clouds. Still, twilight filtered through like shafts of gold determined to dispense with phantoms of approaching darkness. Yet I believe it was the wind that caressed the hollows of unnamed absences.
Psyche Copyright 2004. Buenos Aires, Argentina. From "Patagonia Lost", unedited collection.

Thank you, Cleo ! :) Did my best, but it's not totally new, just made a few tweaks now... A question: What happens if my Patagonian collection is published sometime in the next months? :read: I've posted two or three from that unedited collection, but u never know, Lady Luck might strike.... :) What then? Do tell... Best and thank you, Psyche
