It exerts no tax on my memory,
to recollect on a time when I,
a snip of a youth at twenty,
wearing a star studded mask,
glinting with the sparkle of steel,
was dressed as a Knight Errant
for an evening costumed ball.
Thinking to follow a delusory dream,
I decided to wear a flowing,
burgundy Crusader’s cloak,
to impress my latest lady Love.

Rhymer. Februry 22nd, 2017.

Words used in order:
Tax, recollect, snip, twenty,
star, mask, sparkle, steel, burgundy, love.
(Thought I'd depart from my norm and try free verse)

Denis,
Free verse becomes you. Like Daniel, I too am waiting for the next episode in what could be a great series about you and your lady love.
