Cathy~

This poem is as light and soft as a snowflake...........you created a precious mood many would be envious of! I like the repetition of the kisses.

Thanks for sharing and good luck with the competition.

Kiss Of Snowflake ~ Quatern

A snowflake kisses windowpane;
she sees it as a joyous tear,
for coming up their country lane
is fam'ly ... absent most all year.

Their house is decked out festively;
and snowflakes kiss their windowpanes,
reminding her of Christmas trees
with sparkling crystal candy canes.

Her eyes alight in sweet refrain
when gathered 'round mom's harpsichord,
as snowflakes kiss the windowpanes
they sing His songs so long adored;

and soon, she's tucked snug as a bug
in bed, though wakefulness remains.
She sneaks a peek at good-bye hugs;
while snowflakes kiss her windowpanes.

Hi Cathy, Snowflake.gif

What lovely, warm imagery of a real family Christmas. xmas.gif

I can feel the warmth inside that little house and the air of expectancy.
And snowflakes kissing the windowpane.

A picture perfect poem.

Good luck with the competition.  :lovie:

Cathy,
     Delightful......loved the line about the snowflake kissing the windowpane. The poem reaches inside and touches those softer emotions....

Ah Cathy,

You've captured the loviliness of a child's innocent touched in tenderness, on a Winter's wonderful eve... There is love and joy here. The form is met with great success and compliments the poems soft nature.

Lovely, just lovely-Best Wishes, Liz
