At Christmas time our world turns bright,
it's then that love replaces spite.
When those unknown we all call "dear",
as carols of old caress the ear
and tribulations take to flight.

My fam'ly now are all in sight,
a turkey serves our appetite,.
No joyous wish is insincere
at Christmas time.

No time to think a thought contrite,
let ev'ry candle wick ignite!
From darkest shadows joys appear.
We're bless'd around this entire sphere.
Yet what delight , the world is white
at Christmas time!

Lovely warm thoughts of a family Christmas.  We used to have
a big turnout for the holidays but so many have gone and moved
away, it's not quite the same.  Your poem brings back some memories!

Good luck Ron!

Hi Ron,

You do make this look so effortless. (I have once tried a rondeau and bits are still scattered in my notebook, lol.)

Lovely sentiments - "from darkest shadows joys appear"

Joyful, indeed
