My contributions:
O Captain My Captain! by Walt Whitman (with apologies to him)
O Pumpkin my Pumpkin! Our fear filled night is done, my costume outlasted the weather candy we sought is won. Cementary's near, ghouls I hear, creatures all exalting, with hollow eyes, bones unreal, ghosts grim and daring. But O flicker! Flicker! Flicker! O flame of light so orange. Spot the coffin where my body lie, pale, cold and dead.
O Pumpkin! My Pumpkin! I must rise, send forth things fell, over them sheets are hung, childlike voices yell. Rewards of candied apples and chocolate bars, their bags all a-crowding, for tricks or treats they come to call, dressed up masses, eager faces smiling. Here pumpkin, some fell hand carved your head it forms a horrid mask as you sit upon the deck. Your candle guttering, falls cold and dead. -----------
Carry On my Wayward Son- Kansas (again apologies)
Carrion, my graveyard son there'll be bones when you're done. Rest those heads here to lay don't scream or gurgle any more.
Twice I rise from my coffin got a glimpse of what you took off in. Second time I went soaring higher in a ghost filled sky.
Through my eyes I could see a mummy through my nose I could smell him coming. hear the voices chant you are dreaming I heard them say.
Carrion, my graveyard son it's the best you ever tasted eat it all don't you waste it there'll be more when you are done.
