Hi all.

Thanks to JLY (John) and Merlin (Eric) for suggesting this idea! cheer.gif I'll highlight the current month's holidays below in blue as each month arrives.

Each month, you are tasked with writing a response to a holiday that is celebrated in that month. You have the entire month to respond irregardless of which day in the month the holiday falls on. You can respond with poetry or prose and the 'theme' will be the holiday itself. There are no chaotic elements to this new challenge. Please title your responses as (Month) Holiday Challenge by (membername), i.e. March Holiday Challenge by Cleo.

Please reply and add holidays and their months as we are not up to date on each country's celebrations. One of the moderators will edit them in below.

Good luck all! writersblock.gif

Columbus Day

In fourteen hundred and ninety two
Columbus sailed the Atlantic blue,
He set forth on this mighty quest,
to find a new world at the queens behest.
Four ships he took a bet against the hedge.
Four you say? But there were only three,
the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Marie,
the forth one, well it fell off the edge.

Hahaha Steve! rofl.gif

I think you may be one of the first to respond to the ongoing holiday challenge? Glad to have inspired your muse.

Enjoyed the read!

Dear Steve,

This is where that email phrase comes in so handy. LOLOLOLOL ! Even ROFLMAO, or as my teen son now says ROFL-coptor, which is where you are laughing so hard that you are squirming around on the floor with your legs gyrating in the air.

Love
Alan
