Christmas Eve and Day
Falling snow induces a quietness unique, the lights on the tree reflect through the window. Embers in the fire are bright red, children are eager yet unwilling to go to bed. Tree decorated in all its glory, same ornaments but still different every year. A few wrapped gifts lie beneath the branches, tomorrow morning they’ll overflow the area, but that’s ok because the light twinkles in the children’s eyes is worth the time and effort. The joy of young squeals of delight as each gift is opened, the laughter, music in the background all make for memories to keep.
