When Santa rests his reindeer
aft' Christmas eves up north,
he faces then his main fear
proceeding to go forth.

In tropic climes his camels
replace his cervidae*.
They are the best of mammals
in lands so hot and dry.

Antepodic summer
occurs at Christmas time.
So Santa drives a hummer,
the gas he burns, a crime!

It's nice to know I'm not the only one with a twisted point of view! LOL!

Delightful Ron... Quite delightful.

Much enjoyed this witty and humorous toy with the hummer, but like Bethie, I often wonder... where do these people with Hummers think they live anyway? ... Do they know something that I don't? Does Santa? Ah, yes, he has that list, ut oh... never mind! People with Hummers are fine... just fine!

Seriously, good verse!
Best to you, Liz

Hi Ron

Confession time.  I have no idea what a hummer is.  It sounds like a giant bird but I assume it is a car of some sort.

I enjoyed the rest of Santa's holiday though.

Good luck in the competition.

I am not very knowledgable, but a hummer, I believe, is a Hum-V vehicle, which I believe is the automobile equvilant to the tank ! Very expensive to own, I think. I just know that I find them hideous !Big and ugly !

Now, Ron,
Regardless of I feel about hummers this was well-executed  and fun ! I can picture in my mind.....Santa on camels and in a Hum-V. I see him sweating buckets in his heavy winter suit, negotiating the warmer climes ! ~laugh~

Hi Ron,

Very delightful as per usual from your pen.

This past summer I asked an owner of a bright yellow hummer what of its gas mileage?  I suppose it is like the answer about owning a yacht, if you have to ask you can't afford it.

His answer with levity was, "ten mile per gallon downhill and five uphill.

Good enough for Santa who has all the best toys.

Don
