Celebrate Christ, the Christmas season begins,
He was sent to earth to save us from our sins.
Sent to us from God up above,
the ultimate display of His love.

Walking this earth, and then He died,
imagine the tears that Mary cried.
Though she knew it was God’s plan,
to wash away the sins of man.

You know that it would not be right,
to forget to celebrate Him tonight.
Be sure you don’t turn Him away,
He will help you not to stray.

We all know that He did no wrong,
to be put to death by an angry throng.
But He will walk among us all once more,
when we reach the other side of Heaven’s door.

Touching take on the 'original' Christmas story. I'd like to see He, Him with caps throughout, just the way I was raised. Good poem, I believe it is very sincere.
Best of luck in the competition.
