I am not in the contest, but just want to be a part of the fun. It was suggested I should post some of my old favorites. Some of which have never appeared upon these wonderful pages.
This one I wrote back in December of 2002 - Called Snowflake
I would love to be a snowflake, how perfect could it be; floating to Earth on gentle breezes, settling on land or sea. To become a snowman, stately and bold; standing forever frozen, alone in the cold. To be used with others in building strong forts, protecting my creator from blows of all sorts. To be a snowball, hurled through space, striking the target; my aimer pleased with the grace. To become a snow angel, shaped by young and old, gazing to the heavens, waiting for a story to be told. Of the things I could be there is one that is mild, to be lucky enough to land on the tongue of a child.
