Gifts of the heart cherished the most, devotion to family we choose to boast. Warmed we become by crimson cheeks, cute, cherubic smiles; giddy, jolly shrieks. The joyful spirits die as new year unfolds; embracing compassion suddenly grows old. Life’s stressful strains overwhelm our core, an affectionate hug becomes such a chore. Why not celebrate wondrous blessings; take time to enjoy love’s tender caressing. ·············· Give thanks for your new friends of today, but never forget the warm hugs of your yesterdays.
