For a shared coffee she'd seemingly be your confidante promising to dispel your woes. Her flashing green nail polish will lead you to reflection of a forests entrance unlike anything seen. Until your soul wades into a bag of pumpkin seeds. So much for empathy Perhaps this was her smile. Her own barbwire rouge.

Hi Antony,
Good one, Antony, but I have to admit that I don't get the part about pumpkin seeds. This is about being trashed by some girl, as the title shows.
It makes me smile, because I myself put crushed pumpkin seeds in home-made fruit juices, along with quite a lot of other seeds.
Still, your poem has nice flow and can be understood despite my small nit.
Thanks for sharing, Syl

Imagine wading through a packet of pumpkin seeds. I am sure you'd drown . Naturally you have to sink to do this That's the power of this lady.

OMG, Antony, wading thru' pumpkin seeds seems to be a formidable challenge. Must be wary of such powerful ladies... LOL.

A powerful lady indeed !
I really love pumpkin seeds sprinkled on salads - but wading through them is a different matter! I really enjoyed this one.

Hi, Greenwich, brand-new here; your poem is a good one, and I might add that my wife, her best friend Jean, and I just returned from Starbucks. No pumpkin seeds, only great coffee. Enjoyed my first read on this site. Ali
