Hello all~
 I wanted to take a moment to mention that our illustrious owner of MM and poet friend recently received and auspicious award from Bose Corporation, "The President's Award!" As everyone is aware, Lori works tirelessly at everything she does. From her poetry site to being an integral part of a huge undertaking at Bose, (not sure if I should mention the project) she is so deserving of her award!    Let's wish our friend congratulations and let her know how proud we are of her! Congratulations, Lori.........well deserved!!!!!! It was such a surprise - we all thought the meeting on Monday was to decide where we were going out for dinner to celebrate the end of this 16 month long project. We had done a presentation to the Executive Committee recently after all the changes went LIVE at the end of April. I actually was chosen to convey the programatic changes that we put in place and for about 15 minutes, I managed to do that (while keeping them interested, LOL) with some non-verbal tricks and a few ' You're gonna love this - this is SWEET' remarks thrown in and a little dance too cuz I was so excited about the end result and it showed. It's the passion of the entire team that made it a success. We also knew that failure wasn't an option in our minds and Bob (the president of Bose) pointed that out in his speech to us Monday.  I came close once before on another project that went live in Nov 2004 (Bose private label payment option) and got the Vice President's Award then but in all my 19 years at Bose - this is the first for me. Now I'm part of an even bigger project dubbed 'Supply Chain' and am dedicated to it 1/2 of my position which equates to 20 hours per week for it.
