Glad to be aboard. I have many interests, such as writing, oil painting, classical music (I play several instruments, my latest--the harp--in preparation for my eventual command performance in heaven). Going on 83 years young, in body and spirit, I'm not packing my suitcase for that destination--or another--yet. Learn more about me and my stuff on https://www.jerrykspoetry.com
Yours, Ali

Hi Ali,

Glad to have you aboard and welcome to MM. Glad you have come to the same conclusion about the Mosaic I came to when I joined a few years ago. The critique is helpful and everyone here tries to make the writer feel comfortable in every post. Not a lot of undeserved back-slapping goes on and very little if any harsh words are ever exchanged. I am (and always have been) an R&M type writer specializing in sonnets, rondeaus and limericks. I did see your post "Stardust" and am working on a few comments mainly dealing with line lengths and word usage. If you desire critiques, place from one to three (*, **, ***) asterisks after the title of your post. One is light, two is medium and three is thorough and concise suggestions to help you polish your piece to perfection.

Anyway, welcome home!

Larry

When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the areas of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of his existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

Thank you for the welcome, Larry;
I'm impressed by your own output of poetry on this site. Actually, it's a bit scary for me to think that I'll need to compete
against you and other established poets, but what the heck! Yes, by all means, take my "Stardust" apart. I'm here to become a better writer, and I'm glad to be here.
Ali

Welcome again to MM, Ali...

and by the way, PLEASE don't compete. That is definitely now what we're about in these parts.

We all come with our own gifts; just share yours with us, and we'll do the same.

Hi Ali and welcome to Mosaic Musings.

I'm a little late greeting you because I had an accident about 3 months ago, but I've been a member of MM for many years.
I've already read some of your poetry in the various forums. Enjoyed them very much.
I don't think I've posted anything recently, but have made a few comments.
I used to enjoy putting up the challenges in the Acropolis forum. These are not competitions, they are ideas to get poets inspired. A challenge to oneself.
So maybe I'll set up soon.
I hope you feel at home at Mosaic Musings!
Best,

Hi there, Psyche;
thanks for the welcome, but accidents are no good; I hope you are well these days? Btw, thanks for your comments, and it's good to meet you. Hope to see some of your work, soon. Although it's quiet here at the moment, I hope that will change real soon. I intend to stay on! Wonderful to have met you, Psyche. charliebrown.gif Ali

Thank you, Ali, for your kind comments. Falling is bad!
I think I'll post something now. In Hermes.
All the best and enjoy life and poetry,
