Santa’s Rant

You want to know what takes so long each year
or all the things which must be factored in
from circumnavigation of this sphere
to bag logistics; where do I begin?

It used to take an hour, maybe two
with just a single pit-stop for reindeer
but now my elves say thirty just won’t do
and I will have to change them out each year.

Your millions turned to billions and the greed
begins some time in August or July
when things come rolling out you want or need.
My wife just says be jolly and don’t cry.

From games and guns to clothes or brand new phones;
I’m thinking of investing in some drones.

When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the areas of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of his existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy

Kindness is a seed sown by the gentlest hand, growing care's flowers.
